Hi, so basically I know that my gf wants to have intercourse but I am horribly frightened of getting her pregnant. I know that using a condom will significantly decrease those chances and if shes on the pill that would be even better. I am still horrified at the chance of her getting pregnant, scared to the point I dont want to have sex. Can anyone help me with this. What is some of the best contraceptive or best ways to tackle this problem. Is there a way to lower your sperm count?

Hi Mike
how old are you and why are you so afraid to become father?

mike, my girlfriend is on the pill right now and has been for several years. with that and using condoms, we are perfectly ok. Its makes it easier (with the condoms) to be sure that nothing gets inside of her, but in case something happens, there is a backup plan (the pill). Just be sure your girl takes the pill for several months so her body can become accustomed to it and for it to become effective before you rely entirely on that. But if you are that nervous, take some time and be sure this is what you want to do.

Ok, I got the idea. Pills are working fine for me. My only advice is to go to a doctor with your girlfriend. He knows perfect what pills can your girlfriend take.

another idea for her is the Merina IUD. my wife has one and we also use condoms.
